When ordering a cake from Layers of Sweetness copyright law restricts some options for cake decorating.  Layers of Sweetness is still able to create a wonderful, custom cake for your celebration or event. If available we can buy edible copyright images or cake figures or customer can supply cake figures. Layers of Sweetness can design a custom cake to your event theme.

Setting a Budget for your Custom Cake... Sometimes I get a phone call or an e-mail from a potential client inquiring on a cake. They have very specific ideas about what they want and have the cake designed in their head from top to bottom. They know the colors, accent pieces, sculpted pieces, flavors, and they know what they want to pay.

Having the following information is helpful:

  • Date of your event

  • How many servings of cake will you need?

  • Do you have a design in mind?

  • Do you need the cake delivered?


What is your budget? This is not a trick question.  Depending on design simple or elaborate. There are many techniques and materials that can be used to get to your finished cake. By letting me know your budget this will help determine the best way to create your unique cake.  All these details will help determine your cake and by chance we cannot get the design you want in your budget they I will work with you to come up a design to meet your budget that will your make you happy.  And be honest with your cake designer when they want to know your budget.

Once you figure out your budget do a little research on the business, look at their photos and check to see if they are licensed with your city and county. 

One thing is to have fun and love the cake you ordered.
